David Dubose apprenticed starting at 19 years old with Jerry Cole, a third-generation wallcovering installer in Atlanta, Ga., where he was born. After working with them for 2 years, a company of 10 wallpaper installers, he moved to Raleigh, North Carolina, and opened his own installation company. For about 10 years, David worked installing wallpaper refining his skills and building to 10 installers! The industry started to change in the late 90s and early 2000s so that wallpaper installation started to dwindle. At that time, David diversified into the painting industry and moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota, where my extended family is from.

Paint and Wallpaper seem to go together well and Cutting Edge has mastered the art between the two! Cutting Edge is a company of three master wallcovering specialists and five painters who can accomplish almost any task asked of them! David is currently President of the Wallcovering Installers Association Minneapolis Chapter, sits on the Board of Directors as Treasurer of the Wallcovering Installers Association National organization, and is the President of The Wallcovering Installers School at learnwallcovering.org.
