HOME AND TOUR
INFORMATION
Built in 1903 for Alfred F. Pillsbury — son of Pillsbury Co-founder John S. Pillsbury — this historic Tudor Revival in the Whittier Neighborhood in Minneapolis is a marvel worthy of restoration. ASID Design Home 2024 in Collaboration with NARI is an unprecedented showcase featuring 30 custom-designed spaces including original wood-paneled walls and high-end finishes.
Rebranded in 2023 as the Pillsbury Castle, the new owners wish to honor the grandeur and namesake of the home. Four levels of magnificent architecture complete with a few surprises are sure to leave the eye in awe. Hand-carved Honduran Mahogany and Quartersawn white oak line the main level leading into the Great Hall, Music Room, Grand Salon, Kitchen, and Art Gallery. Leading up the Grand Staircase are two levels of premier bedrooms, en suite bathrooms, and custom features abound. The lower level lends itself to a luxury oasis with a plush lounge, home theater, hidden speakeasy, wine cellar, and a Billiards Room situated in an imported 17th-century English library.
30 ASID designers and eight NARI remodelers reimagine the Alfred F. Pillsbury Mansion, a piece of history in Minneapolis. See the stunning transformation celebrating the best of remodeling, interior design, and preservation. Design solutions come together with fine furnishings, emerging art, trending building products, and cutting-edge technology. Discover all the magic with your own eyes this summer. Below are a few images of the home pre-restoration circa summer of 2023.
