Welcome to our design enthusiasts' haven! We are thrilled to share with you the remarkable launch party of The Pillsbury Castle, a historic Minneapolis home that will be transformed into an elegant exhibition of fine furnishings, art, and technology. Partnering with the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) MN, the Pillsbury Castle Project presents Design House 2024 — an immersive experience that celebrates the best of interior design.
ASID is a community of people — designers, industry representatives, educators, and students — committed to interior design. Through education, knowledge sharing, advocacy, community building, and outreach, ASID strives to advance the interior design profession and, in the process, to demonstrate and celebrate the power of design to positively change people’s lives. Over 25,000 members engage in a variety of professional programs and activities through a network of 47 professional chapters and 280 student chapters throughout the United States and Canada.
As the leading professional organization for interior designers, ASID's collaboration with the Pillsbury Castle Project brings together expertise, resources, and an expansive supplier network for Design Home 2024. This partnership involves innovative design solutions and fresh approaches, inspiring future clients, media, tour guests, and industry professionals alike.
On May 23rd, over 150 interior designers and home aficionados received their first look into The Pillsbury Castle. Veuve Clicquot was poured and hors d'oeuvres were butler-passed as members of ASID perused every corner of the expansive home. Members designers will have the opportunity to redesign over 20 of the rooms of the home. Each selected through a thorough portfolio review and bidding process designed by ASID MN. Selected designers will be announced in mid-July!
Transforming History: The Alfred Pillsbury Mansion
Located in the thriving Whittier neighborhood, the historic Alfred Pillsbury Mansion serves as the canvas for Design House 2024. Design House 2024, which will open to the public for three weeks in May 2024, promises to be an exceptional showcase of design excellence. Visitors will witness the transformative power of interior design. The exhibition will feature an array of fine furnishings, art, carpets, wall coverings, window fashions and more.
